Prior to the installation of a new Pacific Recorders Stereo BMX22 board (Control Panel) in the early 80s, this Sparta console was the station's workhorse 24 hours a day starting in 1977 at their new Liverpool Road studios. At the time, the six slider pots on the right side controlled levels (volumes) on 2 ITC 3-spots (tape playback machines used for music and commercials). All music was on tape cartridges during the 70s and 80s at the Old Liverpool Road studios - 45s and LPs were rarely ever used on air. In this late 70s photo, young nighttime air personality, Vic Johnson, poses for the camera proudly wearing his 62 WHEN Basebreakers softball jersey. Today Vic is a well-known "BTRP" (Big Time Radio Personality) in Seattle where he's been for many years.
