The 62 WHEN Weatherwatch Forecast... In Syracuse, WHEN was the first radio station in Syracuse to have a staff meteorologist for regular local forecasting and whose forecasts aired throughout morning and afternoon drive..  Joe Zona, during the early 1980's, was one of WHEN's most recognized broadcast voices.  He's seen here with Peter, Jay and Ray. In his early days at 62 WHEN, Joe provided both  morning and afternoon drive forecasts that were heard by thousands of Central New Yorker commuters each day on their way to and from work.  Though Joe's forecasts were local, his actual broadcasts originated  from Weather Services, a forecasting company based just outside Boston in Bedford, Massachusetts.  In addition to 62 WHEN, Joe was also heard on numerous other stations around the country,  including WEEI in Boston and WMAL in Washington, D.C.  Other meteorologists who also regularly contributed forecasts during this period...   Ken McKinley,  Paul Delegatto, Todd Glickman, Gary Best, and Wayne Barnes - Photo: Spring 1982
