Joseph Maston , 41, of 122 Michigan Ave., formerly of Syracuse, died Monday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Maston was an engineer at Fort Drum. He was a former well-known weekend air personality at 62WHEN (Jay Walker). He was born in Massena and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Massena. While in Syracuse he was employed by R.E. Dietz Co. and Pass & Seymour Co. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; his parents, Andrew and Hilda Robinson Maston ; two sisters, Judy Allen of Schenectady and Martha Passamonti of Baldwinsville; two brothers, James of Plattsburgh and Gerald of Massena. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, Massena. Burial will be in Hermon Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, Hermon, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Hermon Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Jefferson County or the American Cancer Society.
